Rooksmere Recording Studios has
been been purpose built from the ground
up. This means that as well as being equipped
with the latest technology, we also have superlative
acoustics designed by world renowned acoustic
consultants White
Mark Ltd, making the studio ideal for
all types of recording, from full bands to
voiceover artists.
The Live Room and booth provide
27 square metres of recording space.
Making Rooksmere suitable for band recording
as well as vocal / instrumental groups (string
quartet for instance!). Both rooms have
solid oak floating floors to provide a wonderful
sound and isolation from the outside world.
The control room has been carefully
designed and equipped to ensure perfect results
every time. Combining the best of digital and
analogue equipment to provide the sonic quality
required for a professional result.
Artists are encouraged to take a rough mix away
at the end of the recording in order to hear
their work with fresh ears prior to commencing
the mix on a separate day. As a musician himself,
Hutchinson is all too aware of poor mix decisions
being made in Studios due to listening fatigue.
This is why this working ethic has been established
to ensure this cannot happen here at Rooksmere.
