Rooksmere now offers one to one audio training courses. Concentrating on the
recording of live instruments as well as DAW ( Pro tools, Logic, Cubase, Digital Performer) operation.
The lessons are tailored to the individuals needs whether they be to
gain knowledge for home recording or to work on projects they intend to
partly record at home and in the studio.
We are also filling a gap in many music technology students CV's. That
of actually recording live instruments! Most are proficient in using
say Logic or Protools but have little or no experience in the use of
Microphones, pre-amps and other outboard equipment. We aim to fill
that gap and give you a greater chance of employment.
Topics covered include:
- DAW Concepts. Functions and concepts that apply to all Audio recording software
- Pro Tools Software
- Audio wiring. A basic understanding of electrics and soldering are imperative to working in a studio
- Microphone choice, Techniques & Acoustics
- Audio processing. Including the function and implementation of both DAW Plugins and Hardware Outboard
